Alan Gray

Garth had the recent unfortunate experience of uncovering the news that (Alan) Rod Gray is no longer with us. Thankfully only a small number of us haven't made it this far and it comes as a shock when we realise what has happened. If I may quote from Rod Broune (and I hope Rod doesn't mind, but Garth and I thought it best to acknowledge Rod Gray's part in our school lives somehow, and these words pretty much sum things up).
From Rod Broune: "No doubt we'll all feel bad about it ... but I'm suddenly overwhelmed with memories of playing Rugby with him (he played hooker and I was his left prop in the front row in the 2nd XV for two years), getting a lift in his grey push-button automatic Valiant station wagon and, I'm sure, sipping the odd cold one together. Funny the tiny bits we remember, but boy do we remember!"

Alan Roderick Gray, sadly missed.
