More artless meanderings
Well meanderings, anyway. Digital images - forget film, buddy, it's digital all the way. I know some of you are keen on pinhole cameras at the moment but really, give me a break - that's just art for art's sake. Sure, it's visual poetry if you believe that straightjacking yourself into arcane formulas is the true way forward, but for me I shall resist no more. Let the sliver of silver that remains coiled in my camera die in there...
The first pic is of an uncoiling banana leaf. It was incredibly difficult to get this shot, having to wait until it rained and then waiting for the light; and timing it right for the leaf to unfurl. I suffer for my art.
The second shot was easier - nothing was moving, for starters. It was painted wood, sitting there, staring at me. OK, I painted it. Is that wrong?
So how about this shot, "Wet leaf in repose upon deck"? Well I had to find the right leaf, on a wet day! It's not all easy, you know!
