For sustainability --> villages not motorways and car parks --> eco-friendly gadgets --> small cars, fast bicycles and a smaller footprint for humanity on this planet...

Not the most exciting topic, but here it is. Personally I'd throw in MS-DOS 3.11 and CP/M86, but this is sooo PC-centric.

Really, what a laugh. Not to mention a display of disgusting affluence and arrogance! You intend to buy an apartment with parking and then find that your neighbour has an overly fat 4WD too, so you can't open your doors to get out! Well maybe 4WDs are meant for bush tracks, not city parking spots? (SMH report here.)
Has the Internet killed, changed or actually fostered literacy? Well to me it's obvious. So many people are reading or writing on blogs and bulletin boards that either (a) these are the same people who would be writing and reading anyway or (b) these are also people who may otherwise not have read or written about their pet subjects at all. Who hasn't had a hobby that they kept largely to themselves? How many of those people now read and write about their pet subjects? Lots, I suspect. Read the Forbes article here for more insight on the topic.

If I recommend a web site it's because I use it myself. If an advert appears

the Internet is a wild and untamed place folks, so please tread warily.
